This special quilt was gifted to my daughter’s friend who is fighting leukemia. We wanted to make her something special and snuggly for the long road ahead.
She has a love for penguins so this cute arctic fabric from Blend Fabrics was the perfect choice.
The Central Star Quilt pattern comes together using a fat quarter bundle although you could definitely shop your stash or use a precut 10″ squares. Finishing about 50″ square, it’s a great lap quilt size and a perfect size for kids. It’s easy to increase the size by simply increasing the number of rows.
